I am complaining on behalf of my mother whom upgraded on 20 December 2013. She is a pensioner, and can not afford large bills.
Since she was quite happy with her phone, she didnt find a need to upgrade, but as older people are, MTN harrassed her and said she must upgrade. So she did.
At the retail store in Wonderboom junction, she informed them that she is now a pensioner, and cant afford a large phone bill each month.
Nokwazi recommended to her two packages, one of R299 cost - this included only R200 talk time.
My mother doesnt use data - she didn't even know she has internet on her phone.

She whatsapp
She calls
That is it!
In early January she was beyond herself with her account she received which was around R1000.00! R200 talk time obviously did not take her very far! It is approx 86 min. This is ridiculous. The other option was a top up, and I will not have a 62 yr old lady having a top up, at some point stranded without talk time.
I demand a change in contract - her budget is R500 - this should include approx 200min talk time with 200 sms or anything of the sort.
I now have been told it was promotional and she cant change.
