I had purchased a cell phone, Sony Experia V, from an outlet based in Durban, Game City, Store number G11. This store has since changed ownership.
The cell phone purchased approximately 8 months ago and has since been in for repairs on 3 occasions, currently in on visit 4. Most recently I had sent in the cell phone for the second repair (software/ hardware problems) only to receive the phone after more than 10 working days with yet another problem. This immediately was booked in again for the third time. I was again made to wait while the repair was carried out.
The phone is currently again booked in for repairs (for the 4th occasion in 3 months) as it is unable to accept a SIM card and switched off immediately.
While I fully understand that software problems are not easily diagnosed, a 4th attempt at repair is unacceptable and completely out of my control.
Please escalate this matter with the highest urgency as at this stage I am unhappy with accepting the current phone and will be seeking to cancel the existing contact as mtn is unable to deliver on the contractual agreement of supplying a functional handset
Bad show MTN, considering you are striving to be a world leade
