On 12 Jan 12 I personally went to the Ballito branch office to sort my email line and notified Telkom to terminate my services at Broadgrove Ave on 31 Jan12 & 2 transfer it 2 my new adress at Foreshaven Drive. I was told that the current amt due had to be settled before the application can be processed. I did pay over and above the instalment & asked for the credit to be carried over to the new acc. After a month of waiting I had no response from Telkom (up until today). I had to change my email address to another service provider. 1 yr later I received a call from a debt collecting company (VVM) stating that I owe Telkom -R5500. I insisted on printouts to see how this amount was made up and only received printouts after 8-10 request. To my horror I discoverd that I was being charged for usage from Aug 12 (8 months after vacating the old premises) Telkom has blacklisted me on ITC & wrote the acc off as bad.. VVM is still phoning me for payment. Up until today Telkom has'nt told me as 2 why my lines were not trf. Upon my own investigation I discovered that no 1 in my entire area has Telkom lines due to no cables being installed during development. I honestly dont owe Telkom.
