I am considering moving my ADSL data account to another ISP (and would leave the circuit with telkom) so I phoned the ever "helpfull" call centre. after waiting a full 20 (!) minutes on hold, I spoke to an agent who told me that if I wanted to cancel "it would take about a month" - ABOUT a month? what is that?
I pay up front, i have a month-to-month contract. so if I do not want to use the data package next month, it should be my right to cancel it now and then i can move on elsewhere. hence month-to-month.
but no. i am told this is not the case. this is UNACCEPTABLE. is this the way telkom tries to keep hold of their customers?
if a competitve ISP is offering a much better deal, i ought to be entitled to move as I please, or am i mistaken here?
