I have been to MTN now more than 3 times with my query. I have data package for the first time in 10 months I have received an account of over R1300. The sent me a data sheet after over 2 weeks of complain and logging a complaint on this site. On 2 specific dates of R1000 of data was used when the device was not plugged into the laptop (at 14:30 and 23:01) and they can tell me what it was used for. The staff at the MTN store on the 11 Jan 2014 advise me that its automatic updates. Am not in IT but never has automatic updates been more than 2gb and my laptop asks for permission before anything is downloaded. The consultant also advised the it can download if the device is not plugged in, which is absolute nonsense. I need to know what it was used for because how do they expect me to pay for something that I know nothing about. If no proper feedback is given this time around this is going to the ombudsman.
