No after hour service from Telkom

On Saturday morning, 2 February 2013, my internet connection again went down - no comms light/connectivity. Last time it was down for 2x weeks and only resolved after reporting it on HelloPeter.

Telkom call centre is not available to take calls after hours. Through their automated service, the call was logged - REF 472CTK02013.

Monday morning, 4 February 2013 - phone Telkom to follow-up. Apparently this is once again part of a breader Telkom network problem. If this is the case and it happended on Saturday already, why did Telkom not pick up on this and had it attended to over the weekend? Why does Telkom not provide after hour service for calls? (Maybe one of the mobile service providesr is a better option to take into consideration as I do a lot of work from home over the weekends and after hours. Surely mobile is a far more reliable service?)

Let's see if it again takes Telkom 2x weeks to resolve this problem.
