Failing to order phone

I contacted Cell C direct on Monday the 6th of January to upgrade my phone. They migrated my contract to an Straight Up 100 and informed me that the couriers would contact me to arrange delivery and that I would receive the phone in 3 to 7 working days. As my old phone was a Blackberry, the migration wiped my BIS meaning I could no longer access my emails or use whatsapp. While this was not explained when arranging the upgrade, I tolerated it since I assumed I would receive the new phone shortly.

Since the courier had not yet contacted me, I phoned the call centre to query. There I was told that no phone had been ordered, and only the migration had been processed. It would now take another 3 to 7 days to receive the phone. Further nothing could be done about my inability to access my emails or whatsapp. We tried to be accommodating, asking whether it would be possible to pick up the phone at a store or office but we were told they don't do that. The call centre made no effort to remedy the issue.

I'm now forced to wait with my current phone unable to perform the functions it was deigned for while cell c do nothing to fix the problem they created.
