Can't get proof of upgrade

I have been trying to get a copy of the invoice or proof of when I did my upgrade as I upgrade to a Samsung s4 in July via dialing 111 on my cell. When I call I get put through to customer care accounts department and upgrade department but no one can't help. They tell me I can't get proof as I upgrade via telephone!!! This is unacceptable surely they need to have some kinda of record of it???
