Putrid service from MTN Insurance

On Friday 13 December, I had the misfortune of being mugged at knife point, however it appears the real nightmare truly began when attempting to obtain my replacement device from MTN.

According to the MTN insurance papers, the device is valued at R7427.02, however the replacement value is only for R6955.06

The replacement device N8020 & the device N8000 are out of stock at all MTN branches, nationwide, therefore the MTN salesperson at Canal Walk logged a ticket (ref 3061970) requesting MTN insurance approve the claim request for the SM-P605 with S-pen as my initial N8000 Samsung device. After being sent back and fourth for the last 3 weeks, the sales guy admitted that MTN STOCK ISSUE is not the clients problem & that I should not be liable for this, however MTN insurance has not had the decency to call me or even open the ticket logged by MTN Canal Walk to have this matter resolved. The response "As per my supervisor the approval amount stays the same and you can collect any handset to the same value" - however replacement device is out of stock?

I am now left without a device, yet paying for a service and not able to get through to the MTN insurance number on 0831236084
