My girlfriend & i got a contract Laptop, modem and Samsung Galaxy for her usage in late 2012 and according to the product manufacturer, the laptop an HP pavillion dv6 is supposed to have a 2 year warranty because of the problems that this product has experienced in the past which i found out after days of calling HP (USA).

Well a few days ago the laptop just went off & never came back to life & all attempts at getting HP or MTN to fix it have failed. The key problem is that the warranty was supposed to end mid 2014 & HP claims that the warranty for this product expired six months ago. Now if we got this laptop at the end of 2012 & the warranty expired on 22 of June 2013 this means the product was in use before it was sold to us & MTN is selling products which have been recalled for having factory faults.

In any case this is bad business practice and the support technicians at HP will NOT touch a computer that is still on a 24 months warranty with MTN and they say MTN has its own service centers where these kind of devices are sent and we should go through the cycle of bad service.

Its a total nightmare & we are going to pay for a product for the next year that doesn't even work
