End November i received a more than R3000.00 invoice on a 2GIG data contract. I asked for itemized billing and started monitoring the account on the MTN accounts website. on the 3rd of DEcember i printed the usage from my unbilled account. i used less than 800MB but as per MTN i used 4.77GIG??? /i was also billed R721.44 for 563.177MB. As per what i saw on my side i did not even use up my 2GIG yet. so i called the 808 call centre. just to be told i have to wait for my bill run on 26/12/2013. then on the 19/12/2013 i went back onto the accounts website and all of a sudden there was 3 calls dating back to the 20th of November? But this invoice was already closed off on the 26th of November. So they were backdating stuff on my account which was already closed. note that charges from the 21st-26th of November also appear on itemized billing. When i inquired about this - same response. wait for bill run. phoned this morning (4days after bill run) and was told to wait 10-15days for them to resolve my query but in the mean time mtn is taking my money. so now i have to wait 2 months to have something resolved. how come what you see is not the truth. what are they hiding?
