My sons cell phone contract was up for renewal. He has been debating and trying to decide which phone to get.
He decided on the Xperia Zi because of its waterproof feature and its bigger screen.
We went and got the phone whilst in cape town on holiday. The assistant was very charming and also had a Xpreia X1 and said 'if he had a bouquet of water we could place the phone in it and watch a movie"
My son who is a mature and responsible 14 years old was sold on the Xperia x1
He got it home, did a water test, after showing me all the adverts with people pouring water over there phones, and it wouldn't come on ..
We returned it to vodacom V&A and they sent it to Sony for testing. We then got the phone call that it is water damaged and they can't do anything about it.
This is blatant FALSE advertising. If my son was told not to put it near water he would not have done so!!!
How can they advertise this phone as having this water feature if it doesn't.
So we now have the contract in my husbands name T Martin .0827793539 and no phone.
