Non delivery of service and inflexibility to resol

I have poor connectivity issues with my cell phone. I cannot make or receive calls from home (now in Westville Durban) or when lived in Gauteng (Lonehill, The Reeds Centurion) and also when traveling along the N1, N2 and N3 - the calls drop. Yesterday I went into the FourWays Cell C store and asked them to either fix the issue, replace my phone and also tell me how I could be reimbursed for the extra expenses I had encountered because I have had to repeatedly redial numbers to finish business calls that dropped due to Newtork issues. I was told that they cant help me but they can escalate the matter. I informed them that I was not satisfied. After a brief discussion I handed in my phone and SIM card. I advised them that I am cancelling my contract with immediate effect and without any further payment from me on the remaining period of the contract as they had not delivered according to their promise. I also called their Call Centre and sent them e-mails. Again I was told they can't help me and I can't cancel the contract unless they follow their procedures. It is unacceptable to be held ransom to a left over part of a contract when service is not delivered. I am not paying.
