Extremely poor service

I am not surprised that there are so many negative reports for cell c on this site, for both false advertising and poor service. I have had both.
Initially I wanted to complain about an issue of my upgrade package not arriving with the advertised energizer power pack. But after about ten calls to the call centre and speaking to different people along the way, this has been handled terribly. The staff do not seem to know their products on the website, they keep you waiting on the phone too long, and then pass the buck onto someone else. I have been promised call backs at specific times which have not happened. This is even by management to whom it has been escalated.
I feel this is a far cry from where cell c was 10 years ago when I joined them. I have been advised not to open the phone so it has been sitting here for a week, waiting for cell c to sort this issue out.
I would like to understand my options in terms of the consumer protection act and return of this cell phone as I want to migrate to an alternate provider.
