I did a sim swop at MTN Bayside mall 6 days ago. Still not activated. I phoned their number about 20 times in the last 3 days - no answer. Phoned MTN themselves who claim they cant do anything about it I need to contact the shop. I stay about 90 km's away now I have to do a special trip! Worst is that MTN don't have an alternative contact no. for their own shop. I phoned Bayside centre management who said they would relay a message to the shop, spoke to the duty manager - still no response. When I phoned Bayside they said that the shop was very busy - for 3 days? Last MTN contract I take out - the cellphone co's are like the banks, full of promises but once they have your money you will do as they say.
