Vodacom
Do Customers not matter anymore?

I needed to do a SIM swop from a macro SIM card to a micro SIM card. I am a vodacom contract customer. I phoned the call centre on the 3rd of December 2013. After 3 attempts of 20 minute waits for an agent to pick up, one finally did. "It takes 5 minutes", she said, "Just go to your nearest Vodacom shop", she said. So I went with my ID and proof of residence in hand. Eastgate Vodacom was "off-line" during lunch time (co-incidence?). I went onto the [URL Removed] website to locate the next nearest store. According to that, it was Van Riebeek Mall in Edenvale. I drove there, there is no longer a store there! I then drove to Greenstone Vodacom. There was one person assisting customers, 3 customers waiting and 6 other vodacom staff mulling around the shop, having their lunch breaks, putting paper in the printer, etc. 15 minutes later, the queue had not yet moved, I left. I phoned the call centre again, 23 minutes later someone answered. "Go back to the store and purchase a micro SIM, then phone us back and we'll do the swop over the phone", she said. So I went back to work and sent my mother to the Eastgate Vodacom store. They can't sell micro SIMs when offline X-(
