I have a Blackberry. The phone is not working anymore and gives endless problems with SOS signals etc. I have phoned MTN who told me that I can only upgrade 01/01/2014 and that I can send this handset in for technical repairs. Does not make sense, as with the festive season upon us, I will likely only get the phone back after I can get my upgrade.
Retention is the only department who can make a decision on this but I cannot get through to them, I have been phoning since Friday, and get transferred from here to there, but no-one at Retention ever answers.
January will be my 3rd upgrade with MTN, and I am generally happy with their service and don't plan to go elsewhere, but I just need someone to understand my point of view.
These hand-set are not built to last longer than 18 months, it seems. I have childrens who are in pre-school and I also work with clients, so I need to be contactable all the time, but with this unreliable handset, I am not. I do not have a spare set that is working, so aside from buying a new handset now, I don't know what to do.
Can anyone please contact me to assist me with my problem and give me alternative options?
