I took out a contract at the MTN Cosmonet Store in Cresta Mall on the 23 November 2013 and have since regretted this decision:
Firstly, I was told that my written contract would be emailed to me, however to date I have not received anything!
Secondly, I requested that a credit limit be set on my account. The consultant at the store advised me that this could not be done. On calling MTN support I was advised that this is possible! Are your sales consultants trained on these aspects?
Thirdly, I was advised by MTN support that in addition to my monthly subscription I would be charged an additional monthly amount of R200.88 relating to a promo service fee. Once again, why was I not advised of this by the consultant? Is this in accordance with the CPA?
I have tried to contact the store (011-4768124) and the Manager (Veronica - 0832126216) since yesterday morning, but to no avail. In addition, I have left several voice messages. Is this a reflection of how MTN runs their business? I am absolutely disgusted by the poor service levels... I will definitely be investigating alternatives to cancel this contract.
