Vodacom
Very unprofessional suspicious call

I received a call from the number 031 940 1591 at 11:17 26 November from a zulu lady who didn't introduce herself and didn't bother to mention that the call was recorded for security hence I say the call was unprofessional. All she asked was to confirm my surname and went on to say thanks for supporting our mobile network, vodacom and mentioned that she is going to activate a christmas card for me to get discount at pick n pay and hung up. I was not afforded the opportunity to respond as the girl hung up and calling the number back, the line was busy.

I'm very much concerned if this was really a legitimate vodacom offer and even if it was, I do not want it. I do not take any offers on the phone and do not even shop at Pick n Pay. If it's not Vodacom, then I suspect that Vodacom sold my contacts to some telemarketers which is non - compliance with PoPI Act.

Please advice of the legitimacy of this call.
