Cancelled contract in September, still paying

I cancelled my contract on 13 September 2013 as it expired on the 14th October 2013. On the 15th October 2013 Virgin Mobile deducted the R1000 airtime i had accumulated and my line was deemed as "pre-paid'. I understand that I had to pay for the line rental for October even tho I was on prepaid for half the month. The network has now deducted the full amount for November 2013. The agent advised that it's because I used from 'THEIR' airtime after my contract expired. How is it possible if they took the airtime from my account and I had to load a voucher to make calls? The agent advised that the billing department will contact me, I am still waiting for anyone to revert with their findings.

I paid my subscription and even overpaid some months which no one could explain. And now they want to take more money from me? I followed the process and feel that they should honour the deal and refund my money.
