Jabba Connect
Unethical/immoral/illegal business practice

My domestic employee was solicited via a cold call and offered a samsung galaxy phone for free, which she naively believed to be the case. Upon receipt of an alternate samsung phone worth R399, and realising she had been sold what she did not want, and what she could not afford, she started contacting Jabba to return the phone and cancel the contract. Despite repeated calls and promises of somebody responding, nothing has happened. I subsequently started calling. Numerous times. Nobody could help me, tell me what was going on, who to contact to get the phone returned. Indeed, even when I called back to speak to staff who had given me their names, I was told that they cannot take calls!!! It would also be an idea to enable your departments to transfer calls so the customer does not have to phone numerous times when you get told to contact collections by the sales department after they have told you to call collections! A circus comes to mind. Today she received a call - the first one since this debacle started on 3rd October - to ask where they payment is!! Now she is told that because she did not contact Jabba within 10 days, she is liable for a cancellation fee of R500!
