Around 2 months ago I reported an issue on my line. Afrihost claims to "manage" the line on my behalf. I was unable to reach speeds of anything above 0.7mbs. I was told to test the router and the pots filter - and so I went and bought a new router. Issue still remained. I reported this to Afrihost. They apparently logged a fault. Still nothing was done. They then told me the account was throttled - I tested this with 3 other ADSL accounts - still the issue remained. Again I reported my findings. I have received countless amounts of insignificant communication with various excuses which have ultimately all led to the same point. Exactly where i started. I am SO sick of Afrihost and their inability to accept responsibility for an issue and follow it through. I guess this is just another example of a South African company with an inability to care for the small fish. I guess they wont miss my account. A word of advice though: I fell for the marketing and sales jargon that Afrihost gives so well - but - if you have any issues, don't expect resolution.
