MTN's mistake becomes MY problem
Money was taken by MTN from my boyfriend's account without any authorization, for a few months. We reported it and was asked for a copy of my ID. Every time I go there, the queues are so long. When I eventually got to speak to the manager, Maartens, he wasn't apologetic and said they needed a certified copy of my boyfriend's ID, not mine, and that everything was ready for the money to be paid back, they were just waiting for us. I then asked for an email address to send it to, he said this was fine. The email kept bouncing back so I sent a friend into the store to check that it was the correct email address. It was, so I just forwarded the ID again. That was on 9 Oct. We received no feedback. Today, I went to check and Maartens says to me all that he didn't know what the ID was for as he deals with many people. If the rest of my message, with explanation, did not reach him, how hard is it to reply and ask?? Or to open the email and see who's ID it is?? This problem has remained unsolved for months. It was created by MTN and now we have to solve it, keep following up, etc. Disgusting.
