My phone was on 25 October & I did all the necessary blocking, sim swop & reporting to the police. The following Wednesday I checked my account balance and saw that a R2000 airtime transfer had been done on my account. After numerous calls to Vodacom with no help & basically being told I must pay the money anyway, there was another transfer of R220 made. I called again today (after they were supposed to call me back on Monday) & the lady eventually told me that the transfers were being done on my website account. After I explained that I don't have a website account she told me to log on with my phone number & click on "Forgot Password" & I would get a OTP to be able to log on. I did that with her on the line & discovered that the OTP was being sent to a completely different number to mine! Even she didn't know how that was possible. Now my query has to go to the technical department AGAIN, I must wait AGAIN but I must still pay that money at the end of the month. My account is now sitting on R3000 & I don't have that kind of money & won't pay for their lack of security. If this is not fixed I am blocking the debit order until it is! Pathetic and shocking customer service!
