I contacted Mweb on 10 October notifying them I am cancelling the service. I received no response from them and had to follow up myself. The CPA clearly states I only have to give 20 business days notice, which means my business with Mweb must conclude on 11 November. I do understand that Mweb bills me a month in advance and I have no problem being billed pro rata for my usage until 11 November. What is unacceptable is:
1. Mweb's lack of understanding of the CPA and how their terms and conditions are subject to it.
2. Transferral of my ADSL line back to Telkom being delayed until end of November.
3. No word from Mweb as to my pro-rata refund.
I'm extremely disappointed with them because I have always provided them with good technical info in the case of connectivity problems, hopefully saving them support time for other people in my area. Now that the time comes for a parting of ways they are acting like your typical misinformed company.
