MTN Call Centre - what a mission!!!

Been with Vodacom forever and decided to take out a line with MTN for my daughter. The new contract was done within 30 min which was great, but o my goodness, the call center, especially if you dial 178. You get bombarded with IVR options, 6 in main menu, each menu has a sub menu of 6 options and the another sub menu and all I was looking for was to speak to an operator as my query was not related to any of the menu options. It takes forever. (did eventually find an option that allowed me to speak to an operator - 10 minutes later by luck!!)
and then I phoned Vodacom, 2 menu options, a sub menu with two option plus a "speak to a consultant". They had high volume of calls, was able to request a call back. 20 seconds flat!!! 5 min later I get a call and my query was sorted Whow!! in less time than MTN and my issue is still not sorted.

All I wanted to do was to register as a online subscriber so that I can manage my account and purchase bundles, and guess what - You cannot register as there is a defect in the registration process as it fails to validate an SA ID, nice!

Please guys, simplify your IVR and for goodness sake, change the music!! Your are not seen as a hip corporate
