I have been a loyal contract customer of MTN for more than 10 years now and recently decided to over to prepaid in order to have better control over my spending as I kept getting bills for over R2500. This worked well however I have realised that MTN does not offer the same type of service to their "common" pre paid customers and apart from the weirdest things going wrong, like being cut off because my account is suspended? (How that even happens to prepaid I don't know) and not being able to call either of their call centre numbers 173/808 as I am not contract and suspended was just unacceptable. To top this I have had a intermittent issue over the last few months were I top up using cellohone banking and buy 1G data just to find the very next morning that the data is GONE! Normally 1G data last me nearly 3 weeks! I called the call centre and they can't help me, the lady sugensted I phone the data department, which I couldn't get ahold of! This is now the 3rd time that 1G data just dissapeared overnight! and to make matters worse all the applications on my phone was off??? Please help MTN this is not acceptable!
