Vodacom's "Passport Roaming"

I have been a very loal Vodacom customer for more that 10 years and currently have 4 contracts. Vodacom has lately done their utmost best to convince me that I made a huge error in extending my contracts with them for another term.
Just before leaving for the USA in August I checked my Vodacom Passport status which came back stating "Voice/SMS & Data (passport) is currently active" When I arrived in the USA I received messages that said "Talk longer for less! Use Vodafone passport to make calls at your home rate while roaming on Network AT&T / T-Mobile"
When I returned to SA, Vodacom issued me with a invoice of more than R 6 000.00 for international roaming charges. I have logged calls with the helpdesk and even went to Vodaworld to get this sorted out but with very little success. All that I'm getting told is that someone will contact you within 24 hours which never ever happen.
I need to caution Vodacom customers and potential customers to not make use of international roaming even if you receive the confirmation SMS's. Vodacom will take your money and you will have to fight for it and probably never get it back.
I have now stopped the debit order to protect myself from Vodascam!
