Terrible Service as expected from MTN

My phone had a problem where the screen would just black out. I initially thought that the phone required a software upgrade. I then took my blackberry to the MTN Centre in Morningside Johannesburg to have the software upgrade done. This took about hours but that's besides the point.

A few days later, the phone just switches off and does not switch on again. I then thought that the battery might be the issue so I bought a new one. This did not fix the problem.

I then had the phone booked in for repairs, a perfectly good phone in a very good condition, only to be told that they cannot fix it because the phone apparently has liquid damage.

This phone has never been exposed to any form of liquid or steam or anything that could damage it. I've made sure of this. My opinion is that MTN as I expected, could not fix the device so they claim it to be water damage. This problem only started after the software upgrade which tells me that they messed it up. It would not surprise me if they damaged it with water because strangely enough, everyone else thought it was a software problem.

I have had nothing but the worst service from MTN and regret ever taking a second contract.
