The email communique below with MTN personnel bears reference.
I do not seem to get assistance in the matter that I am referring to your office now.
We did a contract transfer from my name to my husband's when I was offered an upgrade by MTN. The outcome was that the transfer was not through and the contract remained in my name.
I am fine with that, my complaint is that when the new phone was issued, there was automatic allocation to a package that I feel is too high and we were not given options for a downgrade. I then went back on the following day to query the package and I was referred to the gentleman who had dealt with the transaction who was not available at the time. I went back on the following Saturday and he undertook to send an email requesting the change on my behalf to a lower package hence I told him that the transaction was still within a 7 day "cooling off" period. He apparently has not actioned my request and my bill is still reflecting the higher package. I am willing to pay the penalty until the remaining 4 months I was told about, lapses.
If the change cannot be effected, we can terminate the contract when the remaining 4 months is due.
thanks
