Hi I opened a Cell C Giga 20 account in March this year for R189 pm and after my first bill of R2286 I asked there customer service to cancel the account on the 25 March 2013. I was promised that the account will be closed ASAP but it was not. After numerous attempts in that week I call them to make sure that its closed they assured me the account is closed. Only on the 2 April they officially closed the account and still had the audacity to charge me for April and I did not even used it in April. After almost an hour waiting for the Customer survive to connect, I asked them why the account was only closed in April after almost a week and a half before the new month start, They could not give me an honest answer. The agent told me that I will still need to pay for April the normal rate of R189 and then the account will be closed. On the 10 Sep 2013 they send me a mail that the account is in arrears and that I still owe them R2286.30 and that there will be legal action if not paid.
Very upset with Cell C after I had a good relationship with this company for more than 5 years, might be more.
Any help will be appreciated.
