Vodacom have taken my number away

I am the legitimate owner of a prepaid number (number was rica'd by me). The number probably wont display here should i add it. This number, I suspect, was migrated to contract on 26/09/2013 without my knowledge, on somebody else's name and thereafter a sim swop was performed by that person. I was asked to fax an affidavit stating that im the owner of that number as well as a copy of my I.D. to vodacom. I did this on 27/09/2013. Since then, whenever i call to query my issue i am told to wait either 48 hours or call back the next day. I refuse to call again. MY number was given to somebody else. This is not MY fault. I work for cell C and we do checks before migrating numbers to contract. I need my number back along with my BIS and any airtime that i had available. Please sort this out.
