On the 30th of September they sent out an email informing me that all prices on all packages would be halved from the first of October, but you would continue to pay the same amount of money you were paying.

You can only alter or downgrade your account if it's done before the 25th of the month. Afrihost deliberately waited until it was too late to downgrade before bringing people's attention to the changes.

This is abusing your contract in order to squeeze more money out of people.

All I've gotten from Afrihost is handwringing and half-arsed apologies while insinuating that I'm just being silly for not jumping for joy at the chance to be out of a month's service charge.
