Is it so hard to answer a phone?

I have now called in 3 times to follow up on a query that the agent i spoke to at vodacom last week Monday assured me will be sorted out by Tuesday. it's been a week and i have not received any feedback and every time i call they put me on hold for 10 minutes, then i hear somebody pick up the line and then they hang up. i expected that if somebody worked for a telecommunications company they would know how to answer a phone.
my query reference number is S3-t1KA3-3P12. can somebody please call me and get back to me?
