Additional Contract

I applied for an additional contract. It was declined due to me being listed on the ITC listed as a slow payer for another account. Reason for that being I got retrenched and made the nessaccery arrangements to make a payment less then my installment. However i havent onced skipped paying MTN. The above mentioned account was settled in full already, but it will take a few weeks perhaps months before its cleared. I am no longer unemployed. I am very upset because i have a good credit record with MTN paying them every month. How can they base there decision on something that did not effect them. I am due for a upgrade next year February will i be told i cannot not upgrade due to something that happend in 2013? If so why do they not end my contract with them now? How do I go about this?
