I recently purchased a speed stick modem, which after 1 month stopped working. When I went into the store where I bought the modem, was told that I had to send it in for repair, which would take 21 days. After explaining that this was too long as I use the modem for business correspondence, was told there was nothing that could be done as this is Cell C's "protocol. "
I then logged a complaint on the Cell C site, explaining the situation & unacceptable delay, only to get a response after 3 days that my complaint had been forwarded to another department, who would respond, but again it would take a few days. Having just received the response mail which, surprise surprise, says I must take it into a store & it will then be sent for repairs, which will take up to 21 days, as per the T & C's in the contract.
I don't believe anyone at Cell C has even read our comprehended the content of my original complaint. I have been an exclusive Cell C user for cell & Internet for about 10 years - so much for loyal customer service. In this day & age, I find the slow response time unbelievable for an IT communication company.
