We have recently moved house and logged a request with Telkom to move our telephone line to our new property on 01 Aug'13. The day we moved, 28 Aug'13 we were told that there was not sufficient infrastructure to move our line and a new cable had to be installed, we were also advised that this would not take longer than 3 weeks. This 3 week period has just passed. We have been following up every few days by calling the local office with no success. They are saying that its still by the planning people. They keep giving us a new date of 22 Sep'13.
Firstly, we logged our call a month before we moved, why did they not go check out to see if there was the correct infrastructure as now we have beeen sitting for 3 weeks with no line and internet when it probably could have been resolved by now, what was the point! Why were we been given the date of 22 Sep'13, that is a Sunday, are we really expected to believe someone is going to come out on a Sunday? HA!
I find it ridiculous the attitude of Telkom, because its not like we can go to a competitor and have a line installed, it just feels like they have a take it or leave it attitude. Really this kind of service is beyond shocking.
