Today I found out that Mweb recently adopted the throttling standard, but they decided to take it one step further than other ISP's. As of 5 days ago they started throttling me, this should be a 3 day period according to their own technicians, from a 1 meg line to a 128Kb line. Currently I cannot Google or go on anything internet related. To put this in perspective it take Google more than 20 minutes to load. They told me that the only way to solve this is to upgrade to a 2 meg line where upon I will be throttled to a 256Kb line which is also useless and will be paying more than R100 more for this wonderful service.
Overnight mweb went from one of the best ISP to the absolute worst. So if any of you download bout 70gig with a one meg line you will no longer be provided with internet service as per their new policies.
PS. with their 384Kb line I downloaded 80gig a month. I will barely reach that this month
