We have an unlimited internet package with Mweb. We have recently learnt that is it not unlimited. They have a clause in there contract saying that if you use to much internet broadband then they throttle your speed, in this case from 1 mg down to 0.4 mg. If this is the case it is not unlimited access even though when you speak to them they say it is unlimited. When I asked what is the recommended usage before they throttle they cannot tell a client that, because then it would be considered a limited amount. They then said to have your full 1mg speed we would need to upgrade to a more expensive package. There way of making more money. So bascially as there client I am on the package I am on. If they had said you have unlimited access but up to this amount then I would not have a problem with this. I have decided to move to another company, Mweb do not seem to care that they are loosing yet another client, and I do know that they have been loosing clients due to bad service providers and selling contracts that contradict themselves.
