I have recently reported that Web Africa added an upgrade to my ADSL service without my knowledge and then billed me for the last 2 months at a cost of roughly R1500 per month extra than I usually pay. Web Africa have now (after about 100 emails and me stating/proving they were wrong) admitted their error and have offered a 50% reduction on my next 2 months services. Problem is I have already cancelled my ADSL services with them due to their incompetence and I don't accept 50% is acceptable in any way as it still doesn't bring the cost down to my previous package. Instead of 50% I should have at least been offered a full refund for the last few months and some sort of compensation for being told I was effectively lying about having not upgraded my service online and wasting hours and hours of my time arguing over this.

Quite frankly the customer service and billing is farcical and to admit that there was a bug in their provisioning system that caused my account to be upgraded without my knowledge is. How many other customers has this happened to? Should I now make other customers aware that the billing and provisioning system does not work properly.
