Interpretation of 7 day exchange warranty

On 2nd September 2013 I received my new S4 Mini, the phone started to reboot at random times and I called the call center on 9th September to inform MTN of the issue. They gave me a reference number and on the 10th of September I went to the MTN store. I was informed that I missed my 7 day exchange deal. to me it looks like they should rather change their wording to a 6 day exchange plan and not 7 day.

When I do my math 7 days = 24 hours and I was still in my allotted hours, but that is not the case according to MTN.

I am also sitting without a phone since 10 September - paying for a service that I am not able to use at this stage
