I have been a prepaid client with Cell C since they started their company and I have been supporting them ever since. I have converted friends and family to Cell C as I am a great supporter... until today. I took out my first "Straight up" contract with Cell C yesterday and to my disappointment this morning they send me a message telling me that my monthly out of data limit is R1200. Obviously this should have been wrong as I thought I was on Straight up Top up. I had to convert my Cell C prepaid SIM as I needed a micro SIM. I paid R150. I needed to pay connection fee of R114 and I lost -R190 of prepaid airtime as this 'conversion' needed to take place (Airtime forfeited automatically). I have phoned Cell C and they said I can only change this in THREE months' time as I signed the contract yesterday (25/01/2013). The call REP did apologise for my inconvenience but how does this rectify what has been done? I am really disappointed to say the least.
