After viewing the package on their website i called Telkom and applied for a 2mps uncapped line, the total cost was 644pm inclusive of everything, please refer to your recorded phone calls for my account-i spoke to more than one person. Telkom came and connected everything, firstly the internet was not working and i had to spend 2 days sorting it out on the phone and the consultants were extremely rude or didnt know what was going on. Now i get my bill which is 1361, i understand that telkom charges for a month in advance but that should not be more than 2 times the maximum i should pay per month which is 644 which gives a max total of 1288. I do not use the telkom line for calls. I logged a query immediately. first consultant called and said not to pay more than 1288 because the internet was incorrectly entered as advanced instead of basic. 2 more consultants called and were confused themselves. today another calls and says the extra bit is for vat-this is not on the website neither was is told to me when i ordered-again check your recorded calls. Different stories each time. I will pay 1288 and if someone does not sort this out soon, i will be cancelling my account with Telkom.
