The Telkom mobile store in fourways mall sold me a WIFI contract for R310. They has assured me that I had 3g connectivity in my area and promised me that the Internet speed would be acceptable. I even threatened to cancel if this was not the case and they insisted that this wouldn't happen.
Three months later, I can not even connect to the Internet leave alone the "3G CONNECTIVITY" and "ACCEPTABLE INTERNET SPEED" promised to me. This is a clear misrepresentation and breach of contract.
I have spent close to 20 days now chasing the call centre and technical support team, I even had an engineer come to my property to do a test but there is still no solution. At every discussion, I am told that the problem will be passed on to another department and they will revert. It has now been 20 days and I have been through four departments and waited beyond the 48 hour and 72 hour turn around times. It is disgusting that such a huge organisation can take innocent people for a ride like this. Despite my numerous threats, they have still not communicated with me. I have no option but to now consult the national consumer commission with the hope that I can get my money back. DO NOT BE FOOLED
