After many years with Vodacom, in February 2013 I changed to Cell C and signed a two year contract. I was optimistic that I would get better service and signal that I had received from Vodacom. At the time I was living in Bryanston and was not really happy with the dropped calls and bad signal I was getting, but it was manageable. In August this year I moved to Fourways and this is where the problems really began. I work for myself and from home and am VERY reliant on a reliable and constant cell phone signal. To date, I am now having such bad signal and so many dropped calls from Fourways that my business is starting to suffer. I pay Cell C - R1000 per month and in my opinion, what with the bad signal and so many dropped calls I am getting, this tantamount to breach of contract. I did report this to Cell C customer care at the beginning of August and was assured that a new tower was being erected at Monte Casino and would be complete by the end of August. Well today is the 9th September and so far this morning I have had 6 dropped calls and my clients not being able to hear me. This is unacceptable and would like someone senior from Cell C to address before I go to my lawyers.
