Details on MTN system are not correct

I have been a contract holder for more than 20 years with the same number and details. I have been upgrading my handset on a regular basis with absolutely no problems until this year. I am told that the computer system requires my passport number despite the fact that 1. Mine expired in 2007 and 2. I did not have a passport when I took out the contract, they have no record of my ID number despite me using that document every time I have upgraded in the past. they also say my date of birth is 1969 and not 1946 as shown on my ID document. (I wonder who would know best which is correct). I have been travelling back and forth between Sasolburg and Vereeniging about 5 times now and despite them taking copies of all my documents I still do not have a new phone and cannot get one until the system is corrected. apparently no one can do this and I should supply the documents as per the computer system. This problem is ongoing for two weeks now.
