I cancelled my data contract with Cell C. I understand that a 1 month notice period is required and I would still be required to pay my account on the 1st of September. I specifically asked the consultant if I would still have access to my data for September until the end of Sept. The consultant told me that I would have access to the data I will be paying for on 1 Sept. When I tried to access the Internet on 31 Aug, I was unable to do so. I phoned customer care and they told me that because my contract has been cancelled that I won't have access to the Internet anymore. My debit order will still go off on 1 Sept though. I'm really frustrated that I am going to have to pay for data that I won't have access to. I don't know how Cell C can justify charging me for data that I now won't be able to use. I'm more than happy for my debit order to go off on 1 Sept provided that I am able to use the data for the month of September. I refuse to pay R649 for 20GB of data that I won't be able to use! I don't see why I have to phone technical support to resolve the issue when I was initially told that I will have access to the data up until the end of Sept! So annoyed!
