Samsung S3 giving constant problems

I got my Samsung S3 on a Talk1000 contract from Altec Autopage 9 months ago. I had no problems until the phone started freezing up and the apps are not responding. Now the charging port is giving me problems as well. I went to the store where I got the phone from and they told me it could take up to 8 weeks to repair. This phone is for business use, e-mails, contacts, photos etc. Now I must go through all the inconvenience of being without a phone for two months and losing all my information on the phone. The phone is almost unusable as it takes a whole night to charge 40%.I am very disappointed in this poor quality product. I will appreciate it if this problem can be sorted out. Please see that this as a matter of urgency.
