I received several calls from a Telkom sales call center for a home ADSL product.

On several occasions I told the agent that I have internet at home and that I would only consider moving from my current supplier if Telkom can give me a general report on the minimum speed in my area. During the last call he asked for details which I gave to him, (NO BANKING DETAILS) to enable them to send out a technician to the area for the report.

On the 31st of July a lady contacted me for the "Installation". I replied that I have not given permission for installation as i was still awaiting the report on the minimum speed.

The technicians came out on the 7th of August to install. My mother again told the technicians that they cannot install but they insisted that I am the only one that can stop the installation!

I have already received a account for the service in excess of the advertised rate of R400pm even though the account have not been used or even activated.

I spoke to Lebo at the call center to suspend the service and lodge a dispuete on the current charges, on the 21st of August, ref number 7014523. No feedback yet
