INCOMPETENCY BEYOND COMPREHENSION!!!

I went to the Hatfield branch on Monday with the intention of opening a new contract. My mom had previously had a contract with Cell C which she discontinued in April this year. The person who assisted me called Head Office I assume and then informed me that if I bring in the necessary documentation, they will approve the contract. Firstly, I understand that you need documentation but surely if you have the client's details on the system, that should suffice? Chances of the payslip, ID and banking details changing within the space of 4 months are slim; now we must be inconvenienced and go searching for the same documents everytime? I return to Cell C this morning after e-mailing the documents which were an inconvenience to get, because my mom is in Mpumalanga, only for them to tell me that they can only assist me with my mother present. Although I was given an alternative, I should have been informed of the correct procedure from the get go and this entire mess could have been avoided!! For people who are in the telecommunication business, your communication skills amongst each other are shocking! In-store assistants need to be told the same thing so miscommunications are avoided
